A Real Life example of how our services changed
one customer's life for the better...

Mr A. of Guildford contacted us in October 2006. He was at his wit's end. Having purchased his home earlier that year, he had no equity to borrow against, and the mounting costs of his new home and supporting his wife and two young children had quickly put him £50,000 into debt.

His monthly minimum payments were over £900, and even at this level he was only repaying the interest each month - the original debt was not even reducing. After his mortgage and these payments, there was barely enough left for his family to live on.

Gradually things got worse. Mr. A. started to miss payments on his credit cards and mortgage - his wife was concerned that they were going to have their beautiful new home repossessed by the building society. She saw one of our adverts and begged him to take action before it was too late.

Our professional qualified advisors arranged an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) for Mr.A which meant that his debts could be repaid at £325.83 per month, payable over 5 years. Now he will repay a total of £19,549.80, instead of the £50,000 plus interest that he owed. Over the 5 years, that's a saving of over £84,000! Yes, just by talking to us, Mr. A saved over eighty four thousand pounds.

Mr. A and his family are now more relaxed and confident that they have enough money to pay their mortgage and enjoy the good things in life. And best of all, in 5 years, they will be 100% debt free.

Debt Advice: You can get it for Free!

In UK, there is a debt epidemic. More and more people are falling into debt and they need help.

Aside from that, these people are also those that are suffering from reduced business income or job redundancy. That’s why a lot of people are falling prey to deceitful companies that takes advantage of their desperate situation.

Good thing that there’s free debt advice and there are several options that could be available to you:

1. The CCCS (Consumer Credit Counseling) is a respected charitable organization giving free debt advice to guide you through your financial situation. They can even negotiate for you to be granted with reduced payments.

2. The CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) has offices all over UK. One of the advantages of getting advice from CAB is that they can also advise you on your other legal issues. However, if you decide to consult with CAB, you have to work with a separate debt management company to help you set up the debt management plan of your choice.

3. You can also consult your debt situation solely with your chosen debt management company. Pick out one that will not charge you fees up front.

4. A solicitor can give you free debt advice too. It is best to choose this option when you have complicated debt problems such as those involving business partners. Otherwise, this should be the last option for you to take. This is because solicitors only advise you based on the law, not through actual practice in debt relief.

Remember that even if you have fallen into debt and you’re not able to pay your bills on time, it is not considered a crime by law. Just try to relax a bit and don’t be so hard on yourself. If you’re calm, you might think more clearly and make good decisions.

Also, you don’t need to settle for lower class companies just because the reputable ones are too busy to handle your case. Take note that deceitful companies will only make your situation worse.

Moreover, you need to know that most of these organizations are putting serious cases on their priority list. For example, they would put you on their priority list when bailiffs are already calling you at home or you’re about to lose a home.

But even if you have to go through a waiting list, you should be patient and wait. The maximum waiting time could only be about a month or two. At least you are taking a very important step to be debt free.
